Castletown Men’s A we’re looking sensational in the warm-up today. With the passing looking sharp and Cameron Blamey scoring perfectly placed drag flicks with alarming consistency, even Jai Patel seemed relatively unhungover! It was definitely going to be a cricket score had play been allowed to go ahead.
But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. While we stood for the minutes silence the wind tipped the goal over and, having experienced the wind in the previous fixture, the umpires declared it wasn’t fit weather for playing as we’d be stopping every 5 minutes to pick the goal back up.
So we are just left to wonder how many goals we would have won by and can only hope to find all our players in the same sensational form again next weekend.
